„An excellent week (late July) in a most outstanding property - as others have said, the photos do not do it true justice. Family (9 adults, a 6 year old grandson and a 5 month old granddaughter and a dog) from all over the world gathered for a most memorable holiday. The villa, its expansive grounds and locality were everything, and more, that we could have hoped for. Sincere thanks to Ilaria (host) for her warm welcome and assistance and her wonderful parents who, daily and totally unobtrusively, tended the grounds, cleaned the stunning pool and even cleaned the BBQ! I cannot speak highly enough of what we experienced and unreservedly recommend Villa Scianellone as a perfect place from which to enjoy Tuscany.“

Owners are very helpful and friendly and rightfully proud of their house, but be prepared to speak Italian or have good sign language! Enjoy languid lunches in the garden and fun dinners at the long table inside.“

„We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa as a party of 6 adults. The grounds are well maintained and picturesque with pandemic views. Plenty of car parking space. The pool is regularly maintained by the owners who come by each morning to clean it and was regularly used by us during our stay. A couple of things to note, the facilities within the villa could be found lacking especially for a larger party, as the villa holds up to 11. The BBQ to use was great, but be prepared to buy your own fuel. Tourist tax was payable on arrival which wasn’t clear beforehand. All in all some great memories were made at the villa and we would definitely return!“

„Wir waren eine Woche in der Villa Scianellone und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Villa ist ruhig auf einem Hügel gegenüber Torrita di Siena gelegen. Vom schön gelegenen etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Pool kann man sogar bis Montepulciano sehen. Die Villa selbst ist einem guten und sauberen Zustand, wenn auch die Räume durch die für eine antike Villa typischen kleinen Fenster etwas wenig Licht haben. Das spielt aber kaum eine Rolle, weil man sich meist auf der Terrasse oder am Pool aufhält oder ohnehin unterwegs ist. Die sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Eigentümer schauen jeden morgen vorbei, um den Pool oder sogar den Griller zu reinigen. Es gibt auch WLAN, wenn auch die Geschwindigkeit etwas bescheiden ist... im Urlaub hat man ja ohnehin mehr Zeit:-) Insgesamt können wir die Villa jedenfalls weiterempfehlen. We stayed at Villa Scianellone for a week and enjoyed it very much. The villa is quietly situated on a hill opposite Torrita di Siena. You can even see as far as Montepulciano from the beautifully located, somewhat aging pool. The villa itself is in a good and clean condition, even if the rooms have a little bit of light due to the small windows typical of an ancient villa. But that hardly matters because you are mostly on the terrace or by the pool or are out and about anyway. The very nice and helpful owners stop by every morning to clean the pool or even the grill. There is also WiFi, even if the speed is a bit slow... on vacation you have more time anyway:-) All in all, we can recommend the villa to others.“

„We enjoyed this wonderful villa in a group of 9 people. As the weather was chilly we used the open fireplace in the large living room. We enjoyed cooking in the very good equipped kitchen which had enough dishes for all of us. The rooms are elegant and functional, the design looks like the family moved out only a few days ago and not steril like in a hotel. Mauro, the owner, and his wife are very engaged and helpful and take lovely care of house and the large garden. It was a great stay and we do recommend this wonderful house!“

„Villa très bien placée, au calme au milieu des oliviers avec vue panoramique sur Torrita di Siena et plus loin Montepulciano. Équipement complet. La piscine, le jardin et même le barbecue sont discrètement entretenus très tôt le matin. A noter que l'accès en voiture par un petit chemin n'est pas aisé. Very well located villa, in a quiet area among the olive trees with a panoramic view of Torrita di Siena and Montepulciano. Fully equipped. The swimming pool, the garden and even the barbecue are discreetly maintained early in the morning. Please note that access by car via a small road is not easy.“
