„Le gîte est très bien placé pour partir à pied ou en vélo. Le gîte manqué d’intimité (terrasse ouverte, volets ne fonctionnaient pas, passage des autres locataires/proprietaire) Le gîte était propre. Au niveau confort, la literie mériterait d’être changée. L’accueil du propriétaire est protocolaire. La gestion des déchets est à revoir même si suit ce qui est imposé (pas de compost possible…) Tout ça n’est que détail au regard de la région qui est magnifique.“

„Le Fret was a good choice but the gîte wasn’t. On arrival the owner wouldn’t allow us to park right outside the door even though there was a marked parking space and he said that nobody was staying in the other two gîtes. He asked what time we wanted to leave at the end of the stay and when I tentatively suggested 11am he agreed. (He spoke English quite well but not as well as I speak French!) Good points: spacious shower with plenty of hot water, comfy bed, quiet road, enough crockery and glasses for a dozen people (except that there were only two cups), comfortable sofa, very short walk to the GR34 and the port. Bad points: some of the crockery in the cupboard was DUSTY and had to be washed before it could be used; cramped cooking area; poor lighting for reading; toilet downstairs with no washbasin, washbasin upstairs in shower room with no toilet. However the worst thing about the gîte was the really DISGUSTING AND PERSISTENT SMELL in the toilet. Nevertheless the smelly toilet wasn’t the worst thing about the overall experience: despite the agreed leaving time of 11am the owner turned up at 10am and expressed annoyance that we weren’t ready to leave. When he offered to come back in 5 minutes I suggested 15 and when by then we hadn’t vacuumed the living-room floor he became extremely angry, denying that we’d agreed a leaving time of 11am and insisting that it was 10am in the contract and the contract applied to everyone and couldn’t be changed. (He’d already said that nobody was coming in after us.) When I pointed out that if he’d stuck to the agreement I’d have had time to vacuum the floor he ranted and raved loudly, insisting we had no respect (whereupon I pointed out that we’d paid €75 for end-of-stay cleaning, more than we’d paid anywhere else for bigger gîtes, which seemed to anger him even more.) If you still decide to stay here be aware that there are only two rings on the hotplate & the stairs are unsuitable for young children nor the elderly.“

„Quand on va en Bretagne, on doit s'attendre à trouver un temps régional ! En effet, 3 jours de soleil sur 15, mais magnifique, on a su optimiser. Heureusement, que nous avions un logement propre, sec et très sympa pour notre résidence. Propriétaire à l'écoute, sympa, et communiquant de bonnes adresses. Un séjour réussi“
