„We had a wonderful time at Podere Palazzo. There were four of us, three travelling from NZ and myself from Dublin. The accommodation is first class. It has just been very tastefully renovated keeping the character from the past yet introducing modern design. The hosts were amazing, alway prepared to go the extra distance to make sure our holiday was special. We will definitely return and would highly recommended this property“

„We really liked the location! The house is old yet modern and the pool was lovely. The cottage is situated on top of a rather steep rise and the road can be quite challenging at times. You might want to take this into consideration when you rent your car. The renter is actually the second floor of a house where also the landlords live. This was no problem, at all, but I had not noticed this piece of information in the advert so it came as a bit of a surprise to us. Please also note the nasty small black bugs that were a bit of a nuisance. "We are sorry to read that the guests may have experienced some difficulty with the access road. We are privileged to own a house on top of a hill, therefore with spectacular views all around. The road is a dirt road, and we would not be allowed to asphalt it as we are in a zone "Unesco World Heritage". During the stay of our guests, a very strong storm slightly damaged the road, but regular attention is given to it so that any type of car could use it without problem (although we would not recommend it for a very low body sport coupé). Indeed we live on the ground floor, whilst the first floor is absolutely independent. We feel that our presence is essential as we wish to give our guests a personalised welcome upon arrival, and be always available if they need any assistance; furthermore, the pool is a natural one, i. e. which works without any added chlorine (only liquid oxygen): It is more delicate to run, and therefore requires our daily supervision. Although always available, we tend to be as discreet as possible. Finally, a large part of the Val d'Orcia experiences this year an invasion of cockroaches which live in the woods or fields, but some try to enter houses: Everyday, we spay a costly product to reduce the nuisance. „Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche mit 3 Generationen in der Toskana. Das Haus ist modern, mit viel Geschmack und Umsicht renoviert, so dass der ursprüngliche Stil des toskanischen Bauernhauses erhalten blieb. Es steht inmitten der Bilderbuchlandschaft der Toskana und ist gut gelegen für viele interessante Ausflüge. Luc und Jacqueline sind sehr nett, unterstützen mit Tipps und setzen alles daran, dass sich die Gäste in ihrem Haus wohl fühlen. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen für unsere Kinder war, dass der wunderschöne Pool im Oktober bereits geschlossen war, was uns jedoch im Voraus bereits bekannt war. Deshalb werden wir wohl nochmals im Sommer kommen müssen... We spent a wonderful week with 3 generations in Tuscany. The house is modern, renovated with much taste and prudence, so that the original style of the Tuscan farmhouse has been preserved. It stands in the midst of the picture-book landscape of Tuscany and is well located for many interesting excursions. Luc and Jacqueline are very nice, support with tips and do everything to make the guests feel comfortable in their house. The only drawback for our kids was that the beautiful pool was already closed in October, which we already knew in advance. Therefore, we will probably have to come again in the summer...“

„If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing retreat in the middle of the heart of Tuscany, Podere Palazzo is the place to stay. While we weren't familiar with D'orcia prior to our trip, it is an ideal location as it's a short drive from everything Tuscany has to offer (including Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Pienza). Definitely try D'orcia wine as well, it's up there with the better known wines of the area - but is a hidden gem. We loved it! We were traveling as two couples, each with a child under the age of 2 and the property was exactly what we were hoping for. It is perched on top of a hill with sweeping views of typical Tuscan rolling hills (every room in the house has an amazing view). The property is surrounded by some large trees which helps keep the property cool in the heat of the day, and the pool was an absolute treat after a day of wine tasting. The house is a converted old farm house, and both the interior and exterior have been refinished to a high standard. It perfectly blends rustic charm with modern luxury. I really don't know how our trip could have been any more relaxing (even considering we had a 3 month old with us) We highly recommend hiring a local chef (you can ask the owner for details). We hired a chef to cook for us 3 nights during our stay, and it was truly a blessing. Not having to worry about a meal on the day we arrived worked out perfectly, as we arrived on a Sunday and most of the local super markets were closed.. Going out for dinner is nearly impossible with young children, so having the chef come to us after the kids were asleep was one of the highlights of the trip. The food was amazing as well.“

An ideal place to relax and enjoy breathtaking views. Ideal base for visiting the Val d'Orcia and, upon returning from trips, a fantastic and regenerating swimming pool. Jacqueline and Luc are two kind and discreet people and the time spent with them was pleasant. The house and cleanliness are perfect, with everything you need, including a WI-FI that works perfectly. Die Wohnung war sehr wirksam über eine Kühlung des Bodens klimatisiert. Man konnte sich wie zu Hause fühlen und den Bereich rund um den Pool nutzen. Sehr angenehm ist der Pool mit Wasser ohne Zugabe von Chlor.“
