„La Tour is a lovely and very comfortable gite in a lovely location in the Dordogne. We stayed as a family of 4 (two adults, two sons 14 and 11). The gite itself is very comfortable and is one of the best appointed gites we have ever been to. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and had everything we could want from oven, microwave and barbecue, to coffee machine, shower and bath options, and plenty of cutlery, cooking implements, crockery and glasses. We enjoyed breakfast outside every morning and watching the sunset from the loungers in the evenings. Very good wifi was very much appreciated by our sons. Sylvie and Olivier were very welcoming and Sylvie took the time to explain how everything worked in the gite and where everything was, which was very helpful for settling in. Arriving quite late on a Saturday after a long drive, she was also able to give us essential information on the nearest petrol station, supermarket and opening hours. We stayed during a significant heatwave (38-40 most days). The top bedroom does get very hot when the temperature goes above 36, but it is properly insulated and was very comfortable up to this point and manageable even when the temperature was hitting 40. The shutters are very good for managing heat. The location is perfect for exploring the Perigord area of the Dordogne. Sarlat and Les Eyzies are about 1 hr away, Lascaux about 1.5 hrs. Bergerac and Chateau Montbazillac is only 30 mins away. Lalinde, the closest town, is very pretty and has a fantastic bakery (open every day except Wednesday) and butcher. It also has a decent sized Intermarche and a petrol station (at the supermarket, 24hrs). There are also options for canoeing, cycling and hiking in the local area, though given heat during our stay, we only tried canoeing. Lac de Pombonne in Bergerac is great for swimming in the summer.“

„Belle découverte de la région du Périgord. Les lizettes sont bien situées pour sillonner la région et tous ces beaux monuments et vignobles. Notre arrivée aux lizettes sous le soleil de ce mois de novembre fut magique. Un dépaysement et une déconnection totale d’un monde tumultueux vers ce magnifique havre de paix calme et reposant. Les balades à proximité y sont nombreuses. Tout y est pour se sentir comme chez soi. Nous remercions chaleureusement nos hôtes pour ce séjour inoubliable.“

„Gîte très agréable et tranquille avec salon donnant sur le jardin plein Ouest. Authentique à l'extérieur et rénové avec tout le confort à l'intérieur. Jardin dégagé mais ombragé par endroits pour s'installer à l'extérieur. Parfait pour passer quelques jours en famille ou avec des amis. Propriétaires très réceptifs et sympathiques. Deux autres gîtes sont à proximité et et parfaits pour venir à plusieurs familles.“
