„Was für eine schöner Platz, um den Urlaub zu verbringen! Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr geschmackvoll angelegt und bis ins Detail durchdacht worden. So gibt es für jeden Sonnenstand eine Terrasse (eine mit traumhaftem Meerblick), die Liegen im Garten sind bequem, die Ausstattung ist umfangreich (z. B. wichtige Mückennetze überall, dt. TV u. v.m.) . Das Gelände ist komplett umzäunt, so dass unser Hund frei umherlaufen konnte. Durch die Lage auf dem Berg ist man zum einen völlig unter sich (niemand kann das Grundstück einsehen) und wir konnten die Hitze sehr gut aushalten, da immer ein Lüftchen wehte. Eine Klimaanlage hat somit eigentlich nicht gefehlt, nur vielleicht im Kinderschlafzimmer, das sich doch aufgeheizt hat. Ein kleines "Aber" gibt es dennoch: Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass man immer eine kurvenreiche Bergstraße von ca. 10 Minuten bis zum nächsten Ort im Tal (Camaiore - unbedingt als Wegepunkt im Navi eingeben, sonst geht es über eine viel längere Bergstraße!) bewältigen muss. Die kleine Dorfmitte von Pedona erreicht man von der Unterkunft über einen 5 minütigen steilen (aber zu bewältigenden) Bergweg. Dort gibt es dann einen Mini-Markt mit leckeren Brötchen (eine Sorte) und das Nötigste an Lebensmittel. Auch eine urige Pizzeria gibt es dort. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind begrenzt und nicht einfach. Letztlich ist das der Preis für die Berglage, wo nach unserer Ansicht aber die Vorteile überwiegen. Wir (2 Erw., 2 Kinder - 12 und 17 Jahre, 1 Hund) haben somit den Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft - auch wegen der netten und unkomplizierten Vermieter - auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen! What a beautiful place to spend your holiday! The entire complex is very tastefully laid out and has been thought out down to the last detail. There is a terrace for every position of the sun (one with a fantastic sea view), the sunbeds in the garden are comfortable, the equipment is extensive (e. g. important mosquito nets everywhere, German TV and much more). The area is completely fenced, so that our dog could run around freely. Because of the location on the hill, you are completely alone (no one can see the property) and we could stand the heat very well, because there was always a breeze. We didn't really need air conditioning, except perhaps in the children's bedroom, which did heat up. However, there is one small "but": You should be aware that you always have to negotiate a winding mountain road of about 10 minutes to the next village in the valley (Camaiore - be sure to enter it as a waypoint in the navigation system, otherwise it will be a much longer mountain road! The small village centre of Pedona can be reached from the accommodation via a 5-minute steep (but manageable) mountain path. There you will find a mini-market with delicious bread rolls (one kind) and the most necessary groceries. There is also a rustic pizzeria there. Parking is limited and not easy. Ultimately, this is the price for the mountain location, but where in our opinion the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. We (2 adults, 2 children - 12 and 17 years, 1 dog) enjoyed our stay very much and can definitely recommend the accommodation - also because of the nice and uncomplicated landlords!“

„Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Villa La Piana. Der Blick von der Terrasse aus über das Meer in der Ferne ist wunderschön, der Pool sehr erfrischend, die Anlage gepflegt und liebevoll angelegt. Drinnen gibt es eine kleine, gut ausgestattete Küche, ein kleines Bad, zwei Schlafzimmer und einen großen Wohnraum. Nachts hört man nur die Zirkaden. Zu Fuß ist man in ein paar Minuten in Pedona, wo man in einem kleinen Laden das Nötigste kaufen, sich ein Eis holen oder abends ins Restaurant gehen kann. Mit dem Auto ist man in 20 Minuten am Strand und auch recht schnell in Pisa und Luca. Riccardo, der Gastgeber, war unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend, hat sich einmal in der Woche um den Pool gekümmert und uns dabei sogar ein kleines Frühstück mitgebracht. Wir waren rundum begeistert und würden jederzeit wiederkommen! We had a wonderful time at Villa La Piana. The view from the terrace across the distant sea is beautiful, the pool is very refreshing, and the grounds are well-maintained and lovingly landscaped. Inside, there's a small, well-equipped kitchen, a small bathroom, two bedrooms, and a large living room. At night, you only hear the cicadas. It's just a few minutes' walk to Pedona, where you can buy essentials in a small shop, get an ice cream, or go out to eat in the evening. By car, you can reach the beach in 20 minutes and also get to Pisa and Luca quite quickly. Riccardo, the host, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, took care of the pool once a week, and even brought us a small breakfast. We were absolutely delighted and would come back anytime!“

„Very cosy house, a lovely huge garden with old olive trees, beautiful terrace and pool area. The approx. 260 degree view to the ocean and into the mountains is amazing. The owner Riccardo is absolutely friendly and helpful, he reacts fast if you need something. And we got great tipps of what to do and where to eat. (And even a surprise present for our silver wedding:-)) Besides the view, we absolutely enjoyed the privatness and absolute quietness! To go into the tiny town with its restaurant (good Tuscan food „di terra“ and wonderful view), bar and minimarket, it takes only minutes by foot. For returning from the restaurant dont forget a flashlight (depending on year season) for the non-lit parts on the way. And since it gets steep: Dont drink too much;-) The only thing we propose to take is lazy chairs for the terrace if you want to stay there comfortable during the day besides the dining chairs.
