Im gleichen Palazzo ist die Ferienwohnung Casa Granchio untergebracht. Während diese direkt auf das Geschehen der Piazzetta und des Hafens schaut, blickt man von der Terrasse der Casa Riccio auf den nördlichen Teil des Fischerdorfes. Dort ragt nicht nur Castellabate auf seinem Felsvorsprung empor, sondern auch die Punta Tresino, zu deren Füßen sich wunderschöne, freie Sandstrände erstrecken.

Die kleine, entzückende Casa Riccio ist gemacht für 2 Personen. Die moderne Wohnung besteht aus Wohnküche, Schlafzimmer und Bad.
Die meerseitige Front der Wohnung ist von der Terrasse umgeben. Vom Treppenhaus betreten Sie erst die Terrasse, über die Sie dann zur Wohnungstür gelangen. Sowohl von der Wohnküche als auch vom Schlafzimmer haben Sie direkten Zugang zur möblierten Terrasse. Über einen gepflegten Zitronengarten hinweg schaut man direkt auf das Meer.
PARKEN: Ein reservierter Parkplatz (gegen Gebühr) steht ca. 150 m entfernt in einer der Nebenstraßen zur Verfügung; unmittelbar vor dem Haus gibt es öffentliche Parkplätze (ebenfalls gegen Gebühr).
URLAUB IN SAN MARCO DI CASTELLABATE
Ein Auto benötigt man nicht zwingend. Obwohl recht klein und überschaubar, bietet San Marco alles, was man im Urlaub braucht. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeit sind im Ort vorhanden. Strände erreicht man am besten zu Fuß, die örtlichen Badebuchten z.B. nach nur ca. 50 m.
Ein Fußweg am Meer entlang führt in den größeren Nachbarort Santa Maria di Castellabate mit langen Strandabschnitten, die sich bis in den Ortsteil Lago ziehen, der an der Punta Tresino endet. In Santa Maria kann man tageweise Fahrräder oder ein Auto mieten (bei Antares '91). Südlich von San Marco erstreckt sich die Punta Licosa. Imposante Aleppo-Pinien prägen die Küste des bei Radfahrern und Wanderern beliebten Meeresschutzgebietes.
Möchte man gut essen gehen, hat man die Qual der Wahl. Fast vor der Haustür liegt das Restaurant "Quasi in Porto", das i.d.R. auch mittags geöffnet hat. Der Straße nach oben folgend gelangt man zur Kirche mit lebhafter Piazza. Dort befinden sich die Restaurants "Su!" (nur saisonal geöffnet) und "K" (ganzjährig geöffnet). Je nach Tageszeit bekommen Sie auf den Stufen der Bar Gabbiano direkt ums Eck ein klassisches italienisches Frühstück mit gefülltem Cornetto und cremigen Cappuccino oder einen stilvollen Aperitivo. Der Blick auf den Hafen ist inklusive.
Das zum UNESCO Welterbe gehörende Bergdorf Castellabate fahren regelmäßig Busse an. Hier lohnt ein Spaziergang durch die malerischen Stufengassen und abschließend ein Besuch des Belvedere. The apartment is found in very central location at San Marco di Castellabate, only a stone's throw from the picturesque harbor.
The palazzo Casa Riccio is located in also houses holiday apartment Casa Granchio. While the latter overlooks what's going on in the piazzetta and at the harbor, the terrace of Casa Riccio overlooks the northern part of the fishing village. You see Castellabate sitting enthroned upon its hill and Punta Tresino with marvelous, sandy beaches at its feet jutting out into the sea.
A HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION FOR TWO
Small, charming Casa Riccio is a perfect accommodation for two. It includes a live-and-eat-in kitchen and a bedroom (double bed), both of which open onto the furnished terrace, as well as a bathroom (shower/WC/bidet).
You enter the apartment via its terrace, which is accessible from the stairwell, runs the length of the front facing the sea and from where your gaze roams across a well-maintained lemon garden towards the sea beyond.
The apartment also features TV, WiFi, air conditioning (extra charge) and washing machine.
PARKING: A reserved parking space (extra charge) is available in one of the side roads (ca. 150 m off); parking might also be found in the public parking spaces (chargeable) in front of the house.
HOLIDAYS AT SAN MARCO DI CASTELLABATE
During your stay, you do not necessarily need a car. Although rather small and therefore easy to grasp, San Marco offers whatever you need during your holidays. Restaurants and shopping facilities are found right in town. Beaches are best reached on foot anyway. The local bathing bays are only 50 m off.
A footpath by the seaside takes you to the larger, neighboring town of Santa Maria di Castellabate with long beach sections stretching as far as the district of Lago, which ends at Punta Tresino. At Santa Maria, you can rent bikes or cars by the day (at Antares '91). South of San Marco lies Punta Licosa. Impressive Aleppo pines define the coast of the marine protected area, which is popular with cyclists and hikers.
Should you want to eat out, you are spoilt for choice. Almost in front of your door lies restaurant "Quasi in Porto", in general also open at lunchtime. Following the road uphill takes you straight to the church and the lively piazza, where you find restaurants "Su!" (only open during season) and "K" (open year-round). At Bar Gabbiano just around the corner, you can treat yourself to a typical Italian breakfast of filled cornetto and creamy cappuccino or an evening 'aperitivo with style', a view of the harbor included.
Regularly scheduled busses run to the UNESCO listed mountain village of Castellabate. Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque, terraced alleys, then stop at the belvedere to enjoy the view. Should you want to get a 'taste' of Castellabate beforehand, consider watching the movie "Benvenuti al Sud" (Welcome to the South), which is set at Castellabate.
